iNavigator app for iPhone and iPad
iNavigator is an aircraft navigation app for the iPhone and iPad featuring a moving map view, Horizontal Situation Indicator, a worldwide navigation database, airspaces limits, terrain elevation and weather data. Includes App for Apple Watch 1 and 2.
Full integration with the iOS environment allows creating, modifying, and activating a route, or performing a Direct-TO, using simple touches on the screen.
iNavigator implements both Route Navigation and Direct-to Navigation and Vertical Navigation (VNAV). Routes, User Waypoints, Flights, Aircraft data, are saved in the Document folder in GPX/XML format.
The built-in simulation mode allows to connect the app to Microsoft Flight Simulator FS9/FSX or Lockheed Martin Preapar3d via WiFi.
iNavigator can run in background and continue to navigate the selected route when using other apps.

So far the best workable app, even though there is still lot of room for improvement. But I like the logical structure of it.
Everything is Ok.but programm spins up sometimes.and itis not possible to update data base.
Some bad moments
Does not work on iPAD 1 iOS 5.1.1in spite of description.
No reply from support till now
I am disappointed and would like my money back.

In the Vertical Profile pane, the numbers could be of different color (blue over blue ???) or bigger in order to have more contrast and be more readable.

I was in the process of looking for a back-up gps just in case my "primary" hand-held went south. This definitely fits the bill and beats spending several hundred dollars for another gps. If it had the option of track up it would be almost perfect.
There are cheaper applications the works better than this! A pain in the neck o set up. Took me hours since there are no instuctions on the app page until you hit support for a refund, and there is some limited info.
Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this app. The connection with the local network and the computer were FSX runs on does not work. I spent literally hours to try and make it work.. I even tried to reconfigure my router from scratch to not avail. Please note that I have been around computers and networking for over 25 years so I may not be the smartest pea in the pod but Im no newbie either.
I feel robbed of my hard earned money. Shame on you!
I am very disappointed with this software. For practicle use, the touch commands are too slow. Also, double-tapping does not change the HSI from arc to 360°. The HSI should have the option to use an OBS (radial selector). When using with FS, the heading is off by 30°!!! and yes, I had the heading indicator set correctly in FS. Also, the update to FS is in one-second increments, too slow since its using IP.
